Bellburns is about 40 minutes north of Cow Head. This is a beautiful drive along the coast, providing great views of the cliffs and shore line. Bellburns is off the highway on a small road that joins up with the 430 again further north.
Cliffs to the south and north are separated by a flat area backed by a hill. Old fishing sheds run along the water’s edge. A number of homes are on this level also. The rest of the community is on a bluff that overlooks the beach area.
School Hill Look Off is on the north side of the bridge. A generous parking lot leads to a well maintained trail that runs along the cliffs. The trail is quite level and easy to walk. You will get the best views of the fishing hamlet and the surrounding bluffs. Further on you will see the coastal cliffs to the south and north..
Taking the town road north, get back onto Hwy 430. You will come to a second viewing area, the Coastal Look Off.
