Cape Bonavista is the furthest tip of the Bonavista Peninsula. Take Route 230 to Bonavista, drive through town and continue out to the cape.
Cape Bonavista is home to the famous Cape Bonavista Lighthouse. They operate regular tours, you can go inside. You’ll see the quarters that the last light keepers lived in. You can even climb to the lantern room. It can get a little crowded, you may have to wait for other guests to come down. When you arrive at the lighthouse you’ll see Cabot Crafts, this is where you buy your ticket to see the lighthouse.
There are several spectacular trails on both sides of the lighthouse. You are on the top of some amazing sea cliffs. You can spend a good part of the day on Cape Bonavista, where you can also visit Landfall Park and The Dungeons Provincial Park.
