Perry’s Cove is on the Avalon Peninsula on the west side of Conception Bay. It’s on Route 70, between Victoria and Small Point.
Take the road into town and you’ll be treated to a community walking trail. The highlight is the Blow Hole near the end of the trail. A blow hole occurs where you have a small sea cave with a small exit above the water. As the surf rolls in, air in the opening is compressed and at fairly regular intervals, you have a little geyser.
The Blow Hole is impacted by tides and the surf. When we visited, it was not very active and we had trouble finding it. We could hear it and finally we spotted it and got a pretty good photo.
There is lots of interesting scenery along the trail including a root cellar. Out on Route 70 you’ll find Perry’s Cove Bakery along with a gift shop.
