Tizzard's Harbour

Tizzard’s Harbour is on New World Island, just down the road from Moreton’s Harbour.

Take Route 345 to Moreton’s Harbour and then continue to Tizzard’s Harbour. See the map at the bottom of the page for Google directions.

Tizzard’s Harbour is on the northern shore of New World Island, directly across from South Twillingate Island.

Tizzard’s Harbour has some very pretty shoreline buildings. One in particular has windows like you would expect on a church or school house.

The orange markers in one of the photos above are called High Flyers. They are used so long-liners (large fishing boats) can find their lines and nets in the fog. The aluminum diamond at the top makes them easier to find with radar.
