The Old Store Café is on Main St. in Norris Point, about half way through town. It’s on your right if you are driving into town. Start looking for it when you pass Neddies Harbour Road. There is a gravel parking area on the other side of the road. The parking area is just above the town playgroud.
We were looking for lunch and stopped at Neddies Harbour Inn, we knew that there was a restaurant there. We found out that they were not open for lunch. We got a look around the Inn and exchanged stories with the manager who’s father was from Red Bay. She directed us to the Old Store Café.
The café is newly renovated. The building formerly held a bistro called Justin Thyme. They’ve done a great job with the renovation without taking away from the character of the original building.
Soups, salads and sandwiches are prepared fresh on the premises. The food is great and the staff is friendly. It’s perfect for lunch or a coffee break.
