Low Point is on Conception Bay, Avalon Peninsula. It’s located near the top of the Bay de Verde Peninsula on the east side. It is the last community you come to before Route 70 meets Route 80.
You take Route 70-54. It is a long winding road, riddled with potholes. Low Point is a coastal community.
A few people still live here but most of the homes have been long abandoned. Rolling hills and rocky outcrops. with houses scattered throughout.
The church pictured struck us as being unusual. A mansard roof variation, Limited windows and the large crosses attached to the side of the buildings were interesting features.
