Englee is one of those places that we wished we had spent more time. Englee is 21 km south of Roddickton on Route 433.
A good part of Englee is built on Englee Island, which is joined to the rest of town by a bridge.
As you are driving into town, you’ll see the town hall on your left. Make sure you stop here. Town hall as an extensive display of traditional Newfoundland hooked rugs or hooked mats. The town hall also has a glass art facility in the basement. You can also buy glass art pieces at town hall. Staff will give you directions and information about trails.
Englee has an extensive system of trails. We did the Barr’d Island Trail which is where we took a lot of the photos of town.
