Salmon Point Lookout

Salmon Point Lookout is part way along a trail in Rocky Harbour. Take Main Street along the south side of the harbour towards the fish plant and cemetery. Take the side street and drive up the hill. You’ll come to a spot where it’s fairly obvious that you don’t want to drive any further. There is a small parking area on your right.

Hike up the hill to a lookout platform that gives you great views on Bonne Bay. Most of the trail is a quad track and fairly easy to walk.

When you get on top of the hill you’ll have great views of Lobster Cove Head and Rocky Harbour. You are on top of a peninsula that separates Rocky Harbour from Bonne Bay. You can also see Gros Morne Mountain.
