Pleasantview is located on the shore of South Arm off Notre Dame Bay. To get there take Hwy 350 north from the Trans Canada. Past Northern Arm you will stay on 350, heading inland for about 20 km. As you approach Point Leamington turn right onto Hwy 350-17(Pleasantview Rd.). Pleasantview is at the end of the road.
It is a very small hamlet with a large mussel processing plant at the end of the road. While we were there, the nets were being cleaned of large residue left over from the previous mussel harvest. The nets will then be re-seeded and put back in the water to allow the mussels to grow to the required size. Large surface areas of the bays in this area are covered with the mussel nets, marked by floating buoys. Even in the middle of a work day the people are happy to talk, answering any questions you may have.
