Pike's Arm

Pike’s Arm is on the north-east corner of New World Island. From Route 340, take Route 346 towards Toogood Arm. Just before you get to Toogood Arm, you’ll see the turn-off for Pike’s Arm.

There is a lookout in Pike’s Arm that’s amazing. The climb to the top is not too difficult. The steepest sections have well maintained stairs. Follow Pike’s Arm Road all the way through town to get to the lookout. It’s fairly well marked, there is a small gravel parking area at the foot of the trail.

The view is an incredible 360° panorama. You can see South Twillingate Island, Bacalhao Island, Change Islands, New World Island and the community of Pike’s Arm. Bacalhao Island is uninhabited, with a lighthouse.
