Tors Cove is about 45 km south of St John’s on Hwy 10.
The homes are perched throughout the hillsides that wrap around this sheltered harbour.
There is lots to do in Tors Cove and the surrounding area. Whale and bird watching, hiking the East Coast Trail, iceberg watching photography, fishing and hunting and berry picking.
Down at the old fish plant is where we watched the puffins. Word was the night before the shore here was knee deep in caplin!
In Tors Cove check out the Running the Goats Books and Broadsides Micro Press. The owner, Marnie Parsons, has a collection of printing presses that are amazing. With these presses and a great deal of love and attention to detail, she prints the written word by Newfoundland writers. The result are one of a kind limited edition books.
