Take Route 10 south from St. John’s. Places are arranged from north to south.

Witless Bay is where you will find the Witless Bay Ecological Reserve, home of North America’s largest Atlantic Puffin colony.

Head down to the waterfront in Tors Cove, you may see some puffins.

Burnt Cove, Saint Michael’s and Bauline East are all lined up south of Tors Cove. Beautiful views of the Witless Bay Ecological Reserve Islands. Bauline East is not near Bauline.

Hike part of the East Coast Trail to the suspension bridge and town-site of La Manche.

Brigus South is south of La Manche Provincial Park, off Route 10. Brigus South is not near Brigus.

Admiral’s Cove is off Route 10, just before you get to Cape Broyle.

Calvert is on Calvert Bay, just north of Ferryland.

Ferryland is a major tourist stop, with the Colony of Avalon and the famous lighthouse.

Aquaforte is on Aquaforte Harbour, south of Ferryland.

Port Kirwan is on Fermeuse Harbour across from Kingman’s.

Fermeuse is a busy fishing port at the head of Fermeuse Harbour.

Renews is a pretty town on Route 10, You can head out a gravel road to the lighthouse.

Hike down a short trail in Cappahayden to see the memorial for the 1918 S.S. Florizel disaster.

The geography changes south of Capahayden and the cross country drive to Portugal Cove South is amazing.

Mistaken Point is Newfoundland’s newest UNESCO World Heritage Site.

The Marconi Station at Cape Race received the S.O.S. signals from The Titanic.

Biscay Bay is on Route 10 between Portugal Cove South and Trepassey.

Trepassey is wrapped around Trepassey Harbour on Route 10.
