Biscay Bay is on Hwy 10 as you begin to work your way around the end of the Avalon. It is roughly  halfway between Portugal Cove South and Trepassey.  The community is located at the mouth of the Biscay Bay River.  This area has always had plentiful salmon resources.

It is thought that migratory fishermen frequented this area as early as the 16th century. In the early 1800s permanent settlement began, with focus on the salmon resources here.

You will certainly notice “The Duck”. It is a cedar log home that is available to rent, with a capacity for 12 people.
