Placentia – Cape St. Mary’s

Take Route 100 South from the Trans Canada towards the Argentia ferry. Communities are arranged in the order you would come to them.

Mount Arlington Heights is just down the road from Long Harbour and near a nickle refinery.

Ship Harbour, just off the US Military base in Argentia is where Churchill met Roosevelt aboard the USS Augusta in WWII.

Fox Harbour is on Route 102 part way to Ship Harbour.

Castle Hill is a National Historic Site in Placentia.

Placentia is next to the ferry terminal in Argentia. Placentia also includes; Freshwater, Jerseyside, Ferndale, Dunville and Point Verde.

Cape St. Mary’s Ecological Reserve is one of the most incredible places we’ve visited.

Point Lance at the southern edge of the Avalon Peninsula, has a beautiful sand beach.

Branch is east of Cape St. Mary’s on Route 100.
