St. Anthony Area

Burnt Cape at Raleigh is like being in the Arctic, with rare lichen and flowers.

The Cape Norman Lighthouse is near Cook’s Harbour.

Cape Onion is right next to Ship Cove.

Cook’s Harbour is at the end of the paved portion of Route 435.

Goose Cove is at the end of the Viking Trail, just south of St. Anthony.

Great Brehat (pronounced Braha) is just north of St. Anthony near St. Carol’s and St. Anthony Bight.

Hay Cove is just next to L’Anse aux Meadows on Route 436.

Iceberg Alley Trail is on Fishing Point in St. Anthony.

The town of L’Anse aux Meadows is right next to the UNESCO World Heritage Site.

L’Anse aux Meadows Viking Site, evidence of the only know Viking settlement in North America.

Noddy Bay is on Route 436, just north of the cutoff for Quirpon.

Quirpon (pronouced Kar-Poon) is on the Northern Peninsula just off Route 436.

Raleigh is on the Northern Peninsula on Route 437.

Ship Cove is on the Northern Peninsula on Route 437.

St. Anthony is the home of the only traffic light in the Northern Peninsula.

St. Carol’s is close to Great Brehat and St. Anthony Bight.

St. Lunaire-Griquet is on the road to L’Anse aux Meadows. There are quite a few interesting places to check out in town.

Wild Bight is on Route 435 near the Cape Norman Lighthouse.
