You take a ferry from Farewell to get to both Change Islands and Fogo Island. In the summer, they run two boats. One goes directly to Fogo and the second boat stops at Change Islands on the way.
The community of Change Islands straddles two islands joined by a causeway. The ferry lands at the south end of the largest island, you drive 12 km north to reach the town.
Island Harbour is a small community on the west side of Fogo Island, overlooking Change Islands.
Climb to the top of Brimstone Head to see one of the four corners of the flat earth.
