Deep Bay

Deep Bay is one of the eleven communities on Fogo Island. Deep Bay is on the west side of the island, just south of Fogo.

From the ferry terminal in Stag Harbour, follow Route 333 through Little Seldom and Seldom. About half way across the island, you’ll come to the road for the airport, Deep Bay and Island Harbour. Turn left and follow that road past the airport. The road to Deep Bay comes up on your right.

The harbour is very deep with a steep drop-off. As a result, fishing stages were built right on the shore, rather than further out on a wharf, which is more common in other communities.

The Bridge studio is one of Fogo Island’s famous artist retreats. It’s accessible by a trail that starts in Deep Bay.

There are also some very unique vacation rental properties in Deep Bay.
