St. John’s Area

If you are spending some time in St. John’s, these places all make for a great day trip.

Petty Harbour is an idyllic fishing village just minutes from downtown St. John’s.

Cape Spear is the eastern-most point in North America. There’s a WWII bunker and two lighthouses.

Portugal Cove is on Conception Bay. It’s where you catch the ferry to Bell Island.

Bell Island is in Conception Bay. You can take a short ferry ride and take a circular route to tour the island.

Middle Cove Beach has unique grey sand. It’s just north of the city.

The Pope blessed the fleet from this vantage point in Flatrock.

Pouch Cove (pronounced Pooch Cove) is very pretty and just north of St. John’s

Signal Hill in St. John’s is a must do! The views don’t get better than this!

There’s lots to see in St. John’s and the city sits in a beautiful location.
